Wednesday, December 25, Christmas Morning Service - 10 am
We had another very successful bake sale last Sunday. Thank you to all the bakers for your yummy contributions and to the buyers at the bake sale for your purchases! There were many buyers smiling in anticipation of digging into their purchases. The total proceeds were an impressive $364!
The Christmas Concert starts at 2 pm on Saturday 14. This is a very special event, always moving and memorable with the music, choir and Scripture readings. While admission to the Concert is totally free, we encourage you to make donations to benefit the Refugee Sponsorship Fund.
This is especially significant with the "Matching Funds" campaign underway. We have not yet been advised of an end date to this generous offer so making your donations sooner is better and will ensure that the Fund receives the maximum benefit. This is an opportunity we don't want to squander. All donations made specifically to the Refugee Sponsorship Fund will be matched by our anonymous donor and thus double "the bang for your buck". As examples, a $20.00 donation will bring $40.00 into the Refugee Fund; $100 will provide $200; $500 will create $1,000, etc. If you provide your details with the donation, we will provide an Income Tax Receipt. All donations received before Dec 31 will qualify for your 2024 income tax. Please make cheques payable to Kerrisdale Presbyterian Church and include For Refugee Sponsorship Fund on the memo line. E-transfer donations are another option. Go to the church website https://www.kerrisdalechurch.ca/qry/sr_donate.taf. This will bring you to the Giving page. Enter the amount of your donation, select one time or monthly from the drop-down menu. From the next drop-down, select Refugee Sponsorship Fund and then fill in the various blanks as requested. All donations will be used exclusively to support the new family during our sponsorship.
For those interested in getting some more chocolates, they will be available at the Concert. We will have additional varieties of chocolates added to our current supply. Please note, cash or cheques only.Chocolates will also be available after the services on Sunday, Dec. 15 and Dec. 22. Hopefully we will have enough to satisfy everyone.
