KPC men's breakfast will be held at 8:30 a.m., Sat., Dec. 7, 2024, in the KPC church hall (on the north side of the church parking lot).  The speaker will be John Rajendra of KPC's youth ministry team, who will speak about his life and faith journey.  Please let our minister Richard Watson or Kiejoon Kim know if you are coming.  You can also put your name down on the sign-up sheet in the church narthex on Sunday mornings.

Donations received at the Dec. 7 men's breakfast meeting will be directed to Presbyterian World Service and Development (PWSD) through KPC men's group fund.  If writing a cheque, please make the donation in favour of Kerrisdale Presbyterian Church, along with a note in the memo line saying, "for KPC men's group fund.

Our Bake Sale will be held on 8 Dec after the Sunday service. If you are baking for yourself or your family, please consider making an extra batch for the Sale. Kindly bring your donations to the lounge on Sunday for us to price the baking. We will not have any chocolate available on the 8th but, fear not you nervous chocolate seekers, we will have them out the following Saturday 14, 2:00 pm at the Christmas Concert and after the service on Sunday 15 Dec. We have ordered some new varieties to add to our current selection which will also be available on 22 Dec. While admission is totally free for the Christmas Concert, we encourage attendees to make donations which will go into the Refugee Fund.As you may have read in the news, safety in Pakistan has become a serious issue and the Canadian government's recent statements about refugees certainly don't give a welcoming feeling.  We can only hope and pray that the applications already in the system will continue to be processed.

We are very grateful for this individual's concern over the refugees' plight and the generosity toward the refugees' cause. Matching Donation Initiative

Speaking of donations to the Refugee Fund, someone who wants to remain anonymous has offered to match all donations to the Fund up to $10,000.00.  To put that into perspective, this means that your individual donation will have double the impact. Your $20 turns into $40 for the refugee fund; $100 into $200 and $1,000 into $2,000 and so on! With your generosity we hope to raise $20,000 in the next couple of months.  You can donate online here. Please make sure to choose the "Regufee Sponsorship Fund" for the designation. Another electronic option is to send an e-transfer to kpc.offerings@gmail.com, agian please write " to Regufee Sponsorship Fund" in the memo portion of your e-transfer. All donations will be used exclusively for the benefit of the refugee family during our sponsorship. All eligible donations will receive a charity receipt and, if made before year-end, will qualify for the 2024 Income Tax year.  If we are advised of changes to this cutoff date we will notify you.
