This Wednesday begins a Christian 40 day period of fasting, prayer, and penitence – a season called Lent - before Easter. Lent points us towards the forty days Jesus spent praying and fasting in the wilderness before he formally began his earthly ministry and journey to the cross in Jerusalem.

I hope you will join me and the Revered Dr. Tali Hsieh from Vancouver Taiwanese Presbyterian Church to formally begin preparations for Easter at our 7 pm Ash Wednesday service this week.
