 Congreagtional Meeting

The joint session of West Point Grey and Kerrisdale Presbyterian Churches has called a special congregational meeting following worship on Sunday, November 17, to affirm the pastoral leadership and the terms of this call for the proposed amalgamated congregation. Please plan to stay in the sanctuary after the service for what we hope will be a short meeting.

Fellowship Hour

If you enjoy the coffee hour after the morning services, please consider signing up to be hosts for the coffee hour, and participating in this ministry of hospitality. The host sign-up sheet is in the church hallway near the minister's office. We also need help setting up and cleaning up the chairs and tables.Your gift of time and energy to this meaningful part of our faith community will make a big difference!

This (almost) the season to be jolly, and what better way to spread the Christmas cheer than by joining us to decorate our beloved sanctuary?

We cordially invite you to our annual "Deck the Halls" event!

When: Thursday, November 28, 4 to 6 pm

Come one, come all, let's transform our church with the warmth and love of the holiday season. Bring your creativity, enthusiasm, and a merry heart as we adorn the sanctuary with twinkling lights, festive garlands, a giant tree, and ornaments galore. No experience is necessary—just a willingness to have fun and create a beautiful space for our community to celebrate the birth of Jesus. We'll have hot cocoa, hot dogs and plenty of holiday tunes to keep us in the spirit as we work together.

So mark your calendars, invite your family and friends, and plan to join us for this joyous occasion. Let's make this Christmas Decorating party one to remember!

 Celebration

Amalgamation Service - Saturday, November 30th at 3 pm

Dear Friends,

It is with great joy and excitement that we invite you to join us for the inaugural celebration of our newly amalgamated church! This momentous occasion marks the beginning of a new chapter in our faith community, and we want you to be a part of it.

The Presbytery of Westminster will bring us together in prayer, song, and fellowship. Come and witness the birth of new congregation united in the Christian faith and Presbyterian traditions.  Hear uplifting music and song (our choir is coming); messages of hope for our future from both congregations; and connect with old friends and new.

After the celebration, our reception will include the usual delicious refreshments from the fellowship hour.  It's a wonderful chance to build new friendships and strengthen our bond as a church family.

Don't miss this historic moment in the life of our church. Join us and be a part of something truly special!

🎶 🎄  “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas," 🎶 🎄 somewhere, I'm sure!

The Kerrisdale Presbyterian Church's Refugee Sponsorship Committee is getting ready for our Christmas fundraiser with the excellent chocolate products from Peace By Chocolate again thisyear. The family, originally from Syria, are refugees themselves now living in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Their book, Peace by Chocolate, outlines their immigration experience and demonstrates what refugees can and will do to restart their lives after arriving in Canada! Although the books are currently on back-order, they can be ordered from their website peacebychocolate.ca  It is a very impressive story.

There will be a variety of chocolate items based on our previous orders along with some other products.  These could include Holiday Dark chocolate with Almonds and Cherries. Milk chocolate with Hazelnuts, Dark chocolate with Nova Scotia wild blueberries, and Milk chocolate with Maple Cream.  Boxes of various individual chocolates may also be available.

We hope to have the goodies available for sale in early December after the church service, at the KPC Christmas Music Concert the afternoon of Sat. Dec 14 and into Christmas and New Years holidays.

Our first refugee couple has settled in very nicely and our second sponsorship, a family of six is being processed. Both are from Afghanistan.  We are anxiously awaiting news from the government.

G-3 (Games, Giggles and Gab) will meet at Crofton Manor on Thursday,  Nov. 14 from 2 - 3:30 pm.Join us for a fun time with the residents. For more information contact Marg or Bill Buschman through the church office. Phone at 604-261-1434 or email kpc@telus.net
